Louis Vuitton Press Animals by Billie Achilleos

I have to say this is a much better use of a Louis Vuitton bag than what they are usually used for but just check out these amazing animals created by Billie Achilleos. From Billie:

These new critters were designed for the launch of Louis Vuitton’s Mon Monogram service for small leather goods. Each animal highlights an element in the design of the products. The Armadillo was to highlight the soft yet durable quality of the leather. The Chameleon displays the variety of colour. The Grasshopper is constructed from products with zips and poppers that make satisfying noises like that of the musically gifted insect. And finally my favorite, the Beaver, who’s functionality chops wood, builds dams…and provides cleaver ways of organising ones life in men’s bags and wallets.

I probably have to agree and say my favourite is the Beaver as well.

Creature Cups

Want!! Want!! want!! There cups are absolutely amazing, they are called creature cups and by design group Yumi-Yumi out of Brookyln.

At the base of each mug rests an animal that’s slowly revealed as you consume your tasty beverage. Good to the last dripping octopus. (via etsy)

Black mamba venom is ‘better painkiller’ than morphine

Now this is all we need!! So from now on when we’re in hospital Black Mamba juice is going to keep us doped up. Supposedly a painkiller as powerful as morphine, but without most of the side-effects, has been found in the deadly venom of the black mamba, say French scientists. The researchers looked at venom from 50 species before they found the black mamba’s pain-killing proteins – called mambalgins.

Morphine acts on the opioid pathway in the brain. It can cut pain, but it is also addictive and causes headaches, difficulty thinking, vomiting and muscle twitching. The researchers say mambalgins tackle pain through a completely different route, which should produce few side-effects.

Right so where can I get myself a Black mamba? You have to be joking not that I’m scared of snakes but wary, certainly wary but that’s only me.  You can definitely see a rise in the sale of these  bad boys!!

How to pretend to be a giant for breakfast

This just seems plain daft and by that rationale something that i am all over. The Lyttelton restaurant’s head chef, Brendan Fylde, created Britain’s biggest boiled egg for Egg week a while ago.

The eggs inn question are actually ostrich eggs and each one is about the same size as 20 chickens eggs, takes at least 45 minutes to cook, and costs about £60.

Rather expensive for a spot of breakfast if i don’t say so myself but one day i am definitely going to pretend to be a giant and order myself one of these things.

Giant Crocodile Breaks Size Record

Now check this beast out!! Oh my lordy lord just imagine trying to land this thing! I’m scared just looking at it. From national geographic:

Lolong has hit the big time—at 20.24 feet (6.17 meters) long, the saltwater crocodile is officially the largest in captivity, the Guinness World Records announced recently.

Suspected of attacking several people and killing two, the giant reptile was captured alive in the Philippines‘ Bunawan township (map) last September.

It was caught after a three-week hunt, i would of run away after a three minute hunt let alone three weeks. Unbelievable!!
