A Beached Whale in the Forests of Argentina

If i ever become a millionaire this is exactly the sort of thing i’m going to do, just because i can. Argentinean sculptor Adrián Villar Rojas creates enormous sculptural works that seem like remnants of a science fiction movie set, or bizarre moments from a surreal dream. This piece is called My Family Dead (2009), in which he created a life-size blue whale in the woods outside Ushuaia, Argentina.  I love the idea that over time people will start wondering why the hell is it there and give them a scratch the head moment. Big, Brassy and bold, just my kind of sculpture.
