The Human Centipede

The other night i got free tickets to a showing of the new file The Human Centipede which also had the director Tom Six and actor Dieter Laser answering a few questions after the film. I wasn’t really sure what to make of it as like everyone else i’d seen the trailer on the internet and was a little apprehensive.

To start with when i went to sit down in the cinema i realised they had placed sick bags on the seat in case it got to much for people, this did not seem to be a particularily good sign for what was about to come. Nevertheless i sat myself down ready for the horror that was about to begin.  As to the film all i’m going to say was that i enjoyed it which i wasn’t expecting to, at points it was humourous and at others it was down right disgusting, also not giving anything away i have to say i really liked the ending of the film.

By far the most unsettling part of my whole experience though was the Q&A. Dieter laser is even more disturbing in real life than on screen with his answers to the questions he was asked seeming totally random and deranged, whilst Tom Six is how you would expect a person who wrote and directed a film called The Human Centipede. The night was very very weird i have to say but fun all the same.

If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, here it is:
